Just received my shoes. I ordered them with Vibram Eton soles and leather midsole. I'm glad that I went with the midsole as it makes the shoes a bit more chunky and this goes well with this country style brogue character. The process of ordering was smooth and the person at Blkbrd was very helpful. The fit is perfect and the shoes feel instantly comfy. I predict that the break in progress will be smooth. The leather looks considerably darker than in the pics, but I already knew that thanks to a customer who reviewed the shoes here and left a pic. The finishing is mostly great. My only small gripe is with the welt stitch on the outer side of the left shoe - the stitch seems to be messed up and it that the welt has also a cut there (see the picture attached). Not a big problem for me, but that's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.
That small issue aside I feel pretty happy with the purchase and I am confident that I will order more shoes from Blkbrd.
Since its my first serious shoe purchase, I am writing this from purely comfort and looks point of view.
Shoes are of darker color tone than whats shown in the pictures on website, but for me, it was a plus point, since they look better than website.
Default shoelaces were not at all great and kept coming undone so had to replace them with third party Waxed laces.
Shoes are comfortable right from the first wear. They seem heavy when we hold them in hands, but are very light when actually worn.
Shoes look shiny and rich, thanks to the leather quality.
Overall, best buy - except for shoelaces :-)

After reading about BLKBRD shoes online I had to buy a pair. The shoes came in nice (feel like cotton) shoe bags and with a nice natural horn shoehorn. They look great and after looking at every seam, all around the welt and inside, they are flawless. That can’t be said about most of the other shoes I’ve bought lately. I will definitely be buying from them again.
