I have owned these shoes for a good couple of months now & despite prompts wanted to give the pair time to break in as well as I to feel comfortable in the shoes.
I opted for an up-charged extra of a sharper fiddle back waist & pitched heel both of which were done to my request.
The break in time was a few weeks so be cautious but stick to the process, as these are the best fitting pair of shoes I own, the sole is hard wearing for walking around the city of London where I work, they shin up really nicely (more noticeably with Saphir MDO products) and stay looking sharp with shoe trees, a lasted option would be a great addition.
There are a few imperfections around where the leather has been stretched around the last in manufacturing, but as is the same with any handmade product, perfection is unachievable hence still giving 5 stars.
For the price (inc. import duties) the quality is second to none and definitely worth trying, I am buying my first house so must refrain until completion then I will be adding a few more to my collection!
Just wow the customer service was amazing I emailed BLKBRD to ask if there was an option to add toe taps and they replied back immediately! And then there’s the Shoes just wow! I Open the box it came with two dust bags for each shoe a shoe horn and that fresh smell of leather smacks you in the face! I ordered 2 pairs of oxfords one brown one black both custom toe taps added they are exceptionally beautiful and they shipped so fast being im in the USA this is my new Favorite brand from the customer service to the beautifully crafted shoes and the amazing price and the comfort I’m coming back for 2 more pairs this time some brown loafers !! The shoes are not properly sized. I have been al along buying and using Size 7 and same was ordered. But it has come like a bigger size. Even after using the extra shoe inner provided by you, it’s still very uncomfortable and I can’t use it for more than 10 minutes
My Bemer, Quarter Brogue Oxford shoes arrived two weeks. The shoes came in their individual cloth bags, and also wrapped in paper. When I unboxed the shoe, the smell of the leather was the first thing I noticed. The fit was perfect and the design was impeccable. I am ordering my next pair in a few weeks. These are well crafted shoes and a steal of a deal.
I had purchased one of the pairs to be given as a gift to someone. Between the two pairs, I was sent just one shoehorn. I called up to check and I was promised it would be sent soon - it never arrived. For the premium price, seems to be cutting corners on a minor item considering competitors like Luxoro don't which I pointed out as well (had ordered two piars from Luxoro as well, both arrived with shoehorns and shoe cream). BLRBRD should rethink such stinting...
