I got the wrong model of boots. I ordered the Luchador Z, but I got the Rudiger Z. Second order that BLKBRD messed up. Besides just apologizing for the inconvenience, making you wait longer and potentially paying more to get the boot that your ordered they haven’t offered a satisfactory solution. I will post a full experience on this situation on Redditt when this is over as I am still waiting for BLKBRD to resolve this issue.
In the meantime, this is a first impression review.
Value: 5/5 if you are not paying 1/3 on top of the cost of the boots on duties, it is a no brainer. Great value! If you have to pay duties 3.5/5 it will be ok, not great.
Craftsmanship 4.5/5 The only visible flaw is the clicking of the boot. The right boot on the outside shaft has a discolored spot (see pics). Stitching is consistent and top- notch.
Material: 4.5/5 upper HORSERUMP leather, leather insoles and midsoles. Dr. Sole soles, leather lining. Hardware can be better.
Durability: I will assume for the construction of the boots. The boots will last a long time, especially if they also are looked after. Keep in mind that this is a first impression review.
Overall: 4/5 In my opinion the boots are great. When it comes to my experience of buying and dealing with BLKBRD the mark is way different 2.5/5 idk if the boots are worth all the hustle. What I recommend is to repeat your self 5 times and get a BLKBRD to confirm your request 5 times before purchase and after the purchase another 5 times to know they got your order right.
My second pair of the Rudiger boots are as nice as the first. After unusual detail to sizing I felt confident my high arches would not pose a problem. And they didn’t. The fit is perfect. The build of the boots is quite impressive. Flawless stitching, beautiful horserump leather and high end soles. The last provides for an elegantly tapered shoe. I am sure I will enjoy these boots for many years to come.
Boots came with damage on the front welt that stuck out like a sore thumb.this damage happened before boots were shipped and no effort to make things right like discount off the order or future orders...
After seeing several online reviews, I decided to give Blkbrd a try, and glad that I did. The quality of the build, the leather, and the comfort of the last all exceeded my expectations. Even better though, was the exceptional customer service they provided. They ensured my sizing was correct, and allowed for several customizations to my pair. I was so impressed, I’ve already ordered another pair.

everything is superb!
with exception of:
1. tongue is only sewn with a single seam, it is a workbook style, I expected it to be double sewn.
2. the ends of the gussetted tongue are only glued, I am missing a seam.
I am from Germany and had to pay a lot of taxes. Overall cost of 470€ for me. Still a good deal. I am happy. I would order again from blkbrd
