My interactions with the company were overall quite positive. The people I talked to were helpful and pleasant and as far as ease of placing an order it was all very smooth. Additionally, the time between placing an order and receiving my shoes was impressive. Less than two weeks to go from place of manufacture to my front door was a pleasant surprise.
So,
Pros:
* Quality is great, I have no issues with the construction or materials
* The look of the shoe is exactly what is pictured, and the polish instantly drew compliments
* As expected, the leather sole was initially dangerously slick but after a walk around the block the sole was roughened enough to walk comfortably*** on any surface.. Within reason, it's a leather sole, pay attention!
(comfortably*** -- When I ordered my shoes I mentioned I wasn't sure of my exact shoe size so I sent pictures of my feet in a shoe size measurer at a shoe store to help with sizing. I am unsure if this was helpful or not because it was also during the time that communication was bouncing between mediums, so it's entirely possible that it got lost in the ether)
Cons: (I don't think anyone is at fault)
* As mentioned above, the measurements are a bit off with respect to width and are quite tight, hopefully they stretch out and can then be worn for extended periods of time.
Final thoughts:
I am generally pleased with my interactions throughout this process, thank you to all involved. I do not have any complaints and plan to purchase another pair of shoes but will be far more detailed with respects to exact sizing. I have complete confidence in teh cobblers at BLKBRD, they provide a truly quality product and believe they take pride in their work.

Shoe is well built with good materials, a slight layer in the front side of the sole came out after a day of usage. A simple rubber glue fixed the problem. Overall it’s a good experience

My gratitude to all in BLKBRD who worked on the shoes and it is genuinely a tribute to our Indian craftsmanship. I can proudly say that WE are world-class
The shoe is good, the leather fine, sole good, wears good, but the one flaw is that their Size 10 is smaller the 10s I've got from other shoemakers. I had to spend money to get my shoes expanded. Advise to others is to go one size higher when buying.
