Dallas, Moctoe Boot - Natural Chromexcel | Hand Welted Boots 2.0

This is my second pair of BLKBRD boots, and I intend to buy a couple more pairs in the future. One thing I really liked was the turnaround time. I placed the order on 29 July and received the boots in New Zealand within a month. I also really like the Natural CXL colour.

However, I was disappointed with the quality control on this pair. The original insole was supplied separately, while an extra foam insole had been glued into the boots. Unfortunately, the foam insole was also missing a small piece in the heel area. This wasn't the case with the Dixon Captoe boots I received back in June.

When I tried to fit the original insole, it would not stay in place and came loose easily. As a result, I had to visit a local cobbler and spend an additional $20 to have it fitted properly.

Buying these boots was a very good customer service experience. They responded quickly to my questions and sought additional foot measurements regarding my orthotic insoles. It seems they incorporated my measurements into the construction of the boots. The boots were completed and arrived sooner than I was expecting. The materials are top quality and the construction is very clean. The unboxing experience was very nice too with a shoe horn, boot bags and an extra set of laces. They fit very well but will require some breaking in - which is expected. I definitely recommend BLKBRD boots.

This is my first pair of BLKBRD boots. BLKBRD shoemaker was easy to contact and very helpful to me to ensure I ordered the correct size. They answered any questions I had and made sure that I received the boots quickly because I was late ordering them and I wanted to enter them in the Stitchdown Patina Thunderdome and only had a couple of weeks. They made sure I received them in time. I Love these boots. The natural Chromexcel leather is gorgeous and gets better with every wear. Super solid construction, I am still breaking them in but they are feeling great and they look great with just about anything. You can tell Blkbrd really cares about the details — definitely recommend. I will be buying more boots from BLKBRD.

This shoe is minimalist but comfortable. The inner lining is not plush but after couple of weeks of usage the leather became more supple and comfortable. The flat sole is well suited for long walks. Extremely happy with the purchase
