Rudiger-Z, Service Boot - Dark Navy Horserump | Boots 3.0

This a beautiful boot. It almost defies belief you can get a boot like this for WELL under $400. I own several stitchdown Viberg service boots, and while I don't think these are that level in terms of finishing, they are not far behind. For less than half the price, the value proposition here is unbelievable. I am a huge fan of the Rover last on this boot as it provides ample room in the toe box but does look like a clown shoe. While I have only worn a few times, they were easy to wear the first time and did not stress my arches and ankles like other boots where I've had to work hard to get them to the comfortable stage. The Maryam Horsebutt TPR leather is at the same time supple yet feels substantial. I am not a huge fan of the waxy TPR coating but I'll admit the waxy coating does add to the dressiness of the boot. The clicking was good, not Viberg level, but comparable to most other stitchdown and Goodyear welted boots I own (i.e. White's, Parkside, Oak Street, etc.). The Dr. Sole Supergrip Half-Sole is awesome and the polishing/finishing of the mid-sole is high-end. For a $340 boot, this is unbelievable value. If you are into the unboxing experience, the boot comes with an extra set of inserts, dust bags, and shoe tree made from what I believe is genuine cow horn. The box will have you name and style written on it giving you that MTO feel to it despite only take 4 weeks from order to delivery. Lastly, the customer service was excellent. Within a few hours of my order, the owner emailed/messaged me to confirm my size and if I had any questions. Overall, great boot and great purchasing experience. I fully expect the boot to exceed my expectations as I wear it more in the future.

This is my second pair of horserump Rudiger-z boots, and I’m blown away by the build. They helped ensure I nailed my fit, were accommodating to a few customizations, and delivered a great boot. I look forward to more BLKBRD boots in the future.

They did a fantastic job on my boot at a much lower cost. The product quality is excellent, and it’s incredibly comfortable. I’m already saving up for my next pair!
